Oil, peppers and bay leaves
Here is the gift I took home from yesterday’s Hanukah party.
I don’t spend a lot of time looking at my desk. My eyes are usually glued to whatever’s on my MacBook Pro’s screen. And yet I found myself taking time today to stop and look at the bottle and its contents.
I wasn’t picking it up and holding it up to the light or shaking it down snow-globe style, but it was still nice to let it distract me. So many desks in the newsroom are laden with papers and books and dust bunnies and clippings.
As few things as I’d like to have next to where I sit, this will be one of them, hopefully for a little while longer.
