Festival of desserts
I’m grateful for the tools that let me capture moments like James Knox sharing a metric heart-load of holiday community, as well as the warmth of even the smallest part of his wide and far-flung social network touching down just off Piedmont Avenue.
And then, of course, there was the food — the results of his yearly holiday labors. Tables groaned with baked goods, sugared and flavored and glazed with all sorts of substances. I can’t believe it’ll be the last one for a while, but I can’t blame him. It’s way past time for him to be free to enjoy some holiday hospitality after being so generous with all of us.
