Something borrowed, something new
I had a good time at a friend of Ankita’s house party in the Mission District, but one of the evening’s highlights for me was running into this painting on a Mission Boulevard door.
If it hadn’t been so chilly out, I would have stopped to see what information about the artist was available online. It’s exactly the kind of thing Layar or other augmented-reality services aren’t yet tracking more-ephemeral types of art installations (or if they don’t yet have the annotative critical mass a Foursquare brings to things so far).
Later on today, once we made it back to Oakland, I found fellow Oakland Soft Rock Choir member Jessi Phillps’ place near the MacArthur Maze and got to listen in on and play in her inaugural singer-songwriter house concert series.
